​Gliko Contracting & Estimating, Inc. provides a full range of architectural and construction services for construction defect projects anywhere in California.  Our professionals use a sophisticated data base and are trained to be consistent in their inspection methods to ensure a work product with the same level of quality and completeness for every job.

Consulting Services:

  • Expert Witness Testimony - Larry J. Gliko, licensed General Contractor has given deposition testimony on over 2,000 cases in the Western States and testified in trials approximately 100 times.
  • Construction Defect Site Investigations – Perform visual inspections and destructive testing to investigate problems with buildings, both commercial and residential.  Site inspections are performed by licensed inspectors utilizing standardized methods of evidence collection. Site inspections are recorded using digital photography and detailed notation.
  •  Construction Defect Evidence Organization and Reporting – Site inspection evidence is organized in a custom database that allows for accurate reporting of observations.  Reports are tailored to each case and are accompanied by printed versions of all photographs and notes.
  • Document Review and Reporting – Review and analysis of job records, daily superintendent logs, CPM schedules, job invoices, subcontractor proposals, materials specifications and testing results.
  •  Construction Drawing Review – Review and analysis of construction drawings and specifications to compare as-built conditions with original project drawing requirements.
  • Uniform Building Code Analysis – Analysis of project as-built conditions and comparison with governing code compliance.
  • Contract Analysis – Review and analysis of contractor agreements for determination of scope of work and responsibility for building problems.
  • Responsible Party Analysis – Based on review of all project documentation, produce analysis of responsible parties.  Assist attorneys with development of proportional share allocation of cost of repair.  

Estimating Services:

  • Analysis of Costs – Provide analysis of estimated cost of repair by others.  Develop comparison unit prices utilizing real world costs.
  • Repair Recommendations – Develop written repair recommendations, including new construction drawings and specifications.
  • Cost of Repair – Gliko Construction, Inc. can provide construction bid to perform repairs.  Gliko  Construction, Inc. is licensed in California and Arizona to perform repairs.  

Mediation and Settlement:

  • Designated experts will participate in mediation and settlement conferences to support our clients’ efforts to settle the case.

Final Opinions:

  • Review all of the evidence.
  • Render final opinions for depositions and arbitration.
  • Make Expert trial presentations with graphics and trial boards.
